In the year 2009 I have emplyed a maid once a week for a period of 6mths

The gardener is utilized as part of the condo development therefor paid bi monthly. as well as the pool maintenance worker.

Can anyone advise me of the procedure for paying these wirkers Christmas bonus.  Am I required to pay holiday pay at all??

Mrs. Linda:


Christmas Bonus means (2 weeks of salary or proportional share) You mentioned 6 months, that means you are obligated to pay only one week as Christmas Bonus.


IE. Weekly payment 200 pesos. Working period 6 months.


Bonus to pay: 200 pesos.
